The vision for this Rustic Modern Primary Suite was to create a sophisticated retreat that seamlessly blends contemporary luxury with rich character and history. Every detail was thoughtfully curated to balance clean modern lines with one-of-a-kind architectural elements, resulting in a space that feels both refined and deeply personal.
In the primary bedroom, the dramatic chevron ceiling immediately draws the eye and establishes a strong architectural foundation for the design. Modern furnishings were carefully selected to create a sense of comfort and elegance while allowing the room’s unique focal pieces to shine. A pair of vintage doors was repurposed as a custom headboard, introducing texture, history, and character to the space. Architectural remnants were transformed into distinctive table lamps, further reinforcing the blend of old and new that defines the design.
The clients’ love of deep blue served as the inspiration for the color palette, creating a rich and inviting atmosphere throughout the suite. Layers of warm gold accents and soft cream tones were incorporated to provide balance, sophistication, and visual warmth. Contemporary chandeliers and abstract artwork introduce a modern edge while complementing the room’s rustic influences.
Functionality was equally important to the design. To maintain a clean and uncluttered aesthetic, a custom dresser was designed with an integrated television lift, allowing the television to remain hidden when not in use and preserving the serene atmosphere of the space.
A second set of beautifully aged vintage doors provides a dramatic transition into the primary bathroom, where the blend of rustic character and modern luxury continues. At the center of the room, a freestanding soaking tub serves as the focal point, creating a spa-like experience. Suspended brass-mounted abstract sculptures flank the tub, adding artistry and dimension while emphasizing the room’s symmetry and elegance.
Hand-blown glass chandeliers and coordinating wall sconces introduce an element of craftsmanship and sophistication, casting a warm glow throughout the space. Beyond the bathing area, another antique door opens to a stunning shower retreat. The shower was designed as a true statement feature, showcasing a carefully curated combination of unique tile selections that work together to create depth, texture, and visual interest. The result is a striking composition that feels both timeless and contemporary.
