Once defined by a coastal palette and shades of blue, this Scottsdale home was ready for a new chapter. The homeowners wanted an interior that felt timeless and tailored, with warmth, contrast, and moments of personality throughout. This was more than a refresh. Katherine Mueller Design completely transformed the home, reimagining everything from the entry to the living spaces, kitchen, bathrooms, and office.
The redesigned entry introduces the home’s new look from the moment you step inside. Custom steel doors make the dedicated office a standout feature while allowing natural light to flow through the space. Together, these details establish the architectural character that carries throughout the home.
In the kitchen, warm cabinetry, quartz countertops, distinctive lighting, and a statement hood bring depth to the space. Two islands give the family room to gather, with one designed specifically for casual dining. The adjoining living room was completely renovated to feel connected to the kitchen while giving the family a welcoming place to spend time together.
The fireplace became a focal point of the new design. Geometric tile adds pattern and visual interest, bringing a tailored edge to the room. The redesigned bar area carries that sense of detail into another space for gathering.
Tucked behind the kitchen, the new pantry offers a delightful change of pace. With four boys at home, the client wanted a space that felt like a retreat just for her. Pink cabinetry and feminine wallpaper make the pantry playful and personal, adding a memorable burst of color within the home’s tailored palette.
In the primary bathroom, a new layout and custom cabinetry transformed the space. A glass grid shower framed in black metal is its focal point, bringing an architectural quality to the room. Three additional bathrooms were renovated, and a fourth was added.
Noir and Hue reflects the way a home can evolve with the people who live in it. Its coastal blues have given way to a layered interior that balances strong architectural details with softer, more expressive moments. The result feels polished and enduring, yet personal in every room.
