The first call for action for this relocation was to select a desired neighborhood. Once the neighborhood was determined, the homeowners could confidently select their home knowing The Studio at CeTerra would recreate for them yet another perfect sanctuary. The scope of work involved construction on both floors including living areas, bedrooms, bathrooms, and kitchen. In the living room and family room, the sunken floors were raised, and overlaid with beautiful hardwood walnut planks. An additional up-date for the living room included natural limestone for the fireplace surround accented with brushed nickel schluter and rough wooden tiles. For the family room, the fireplace was faced in a soft gray porcelain tile and metal trim accents to provide an attractive focal point for evenings spent enjoying the glow from the unique cast concrete fireballs filling the firebox. A wall sharing the area between the kitchen and dining room was removed to increase space for the dramatic installation of a chef’s table. Excitement was further added in the dining area with a spectacular chandelier composed of glass orbs and complemented with colorful wall décor. Custom banco seating was built into a bay window alcove to furnish a cozy nook for enjoying that first cup of morning coffee or accommodate extra guests at mealtime. The nearby kitchen was completely demolished and renovated with white contemporary cabinetry, and gleaming Caesarstone countertops. The kitchen island was finished with a unique waterfall edge while an adjacent backsplash comprised of textured ceramic tile supplied a dazzling accent. A guest bath on the main floor continued the excitement with a contemporary floating vanity, new mirror, elegant lighting, and a detailed tile layout. A home office gained attention as the doorway was altered to accommodate the installation of a custom sliding barn door made of smooth glass and modern steel hardware. Decorative accessories such as tables, seating, rugs, art, and lighting were placed throughout the home for added comfort and style.

A staircase to the second floor was enhanced as the former stairway railing was removed and replaced with a handcrafted steel railing. On the second floor, the master bathroom required extensive work to devise a new space plan, and drop the raised floor to the same level as the master bedroom. The existing shower was expanded, and accented with an elaborate tile layout as well as a glistening clear glass enclosure. The new plan allowed for the installation of a luxurious freestanding slipper tub and a sleek waterfall edge on the custom vanity. Ambient lighting was added under the cabinetry and additional touches such as new plumbing fixtures, a quartz countertop, and distinct vanity mirror completed this very special space. A guest bathroom located on the second floor called for a complete remodel also. New white cabinetry, a quartz countertop, and extraordinary tile layout in the shower transformed this bathroom into a stunning guests’ retreat.

Throughout the home, new texture and fresh paint were added to the walls, the former interior doors were replaced with an alternative modern option, and the windows were adorned with treatments to provide privacy and a soft element to the design. Overall, the best solution for these homeowners to ease the transition of moving from their beloved former home was to bring their interior designer with them.
