Katherine Mueller Design completed the Desert Serenity Refresh, transforming this home with light neutrals and organic woven textures that feel perfectly suited for desert living. The goal was to brighten the interiors while introducing natural dimension and warmth throughout each space.
In the kitchen, the design team created a striking centerpiece with two large islands that provide both functionality and visual balance. Custom cabinetry anchors the space while oversized pendant lighting adds sculptural interest above the islands. A decorative dimensional tile backsplash introduces woven-inspired texture, tying into the organic design theme seen throughout the home. The kitchen was further enhanced with a new bar wall and a reimagined pantry, creating both practical storage and an elevated entertaining experience.
The living area centers around a beautifully redesigned fireplace, now framed with an elegant arch detail and custom shelving on each side. This architectural feature draws the eye upward, while a modern chandelier completes the room with a refined yet relaxed presence.
In the powder bath, a soft floral wallpaper introduces another organic layer of pattern and movement. Glass orb sconces on each side of the vanity bring warmth and glow to the space, while a beautifully patterned floor tile adds visual interest and depth.
The primary bath maintained its original layout, but updated finishes dramatically elevated the space. Neutral hard surfaces keep the palette calm and cohesive while lighting with decorative woven accents reinforces the organic desert inspiration.
The spacious primary bath now features a stunning walk-in shower with a custom tile design, alongside a freestanding soaking tub that sits beneath a large woven chandelier. The result is a tranquil retreat that blends modern elegance with natural texture.
