A home designed to fit the needs of many types of buyers, this new build is poised in elegance and clean lines. The large-scale floor plan creates areas for both indoor and outdoor entertaining, allowing expansive desert views through the bifold doors. All material finishes were selected to formulate a soft color palette with the ability for an easy to clean, harmonious lifestyle. The challenge was to create a home that felt both spacious and intimate all at the same time. With the combination of recessed and soft contemporary fixture lighting, the house corridors and the main spaces achieve that feeling.
The builder’s requirements included instructions to design a separate guest wing from the owner’s wing, as well as a private casita. These spaces were carefully constructed to establish a sense of continuity throughout the project. Stainless steel appliances and polished nickel plumbing fixtures add a reflected accent in the kitchen, among other areas. The bifold windows were designed specifically for the cantina bar and allows for ease of serving cocktails and hors d’oeuvres to the outdoor area. Additionally, there is ample storage in the laundry room, which also doubles as a home office. Tying the design together, light washed oak floors travel throughout all the spaces.
