A dark, outdated laundry room had limited storage and was not functional for the owners. They requested an inviting space do to their chores, with lots of storage and a space to wash their three bulldogs. The original swing door was replaced with a pocket door to save space. The cabinetry was replaced with a beautiful blue color, accented by unique textured hardware. The cabinets were extended to the ceiling and drawers were added below the washer and dryer to act as a pedestal and make the appliances more accessible. Smart, functional solutions were provided for storage, especially the custom cabinet housing laundry detergent. A series of slide-out trays were made to a height and depth to blend with the adjacent appliances. Sleek, glass backsplash provides a backdrop behind the sink and counter area, with an integrated hanging rod above the sink. The old, shallow sink was replaced with a deep, single-bowl version and the faucet was placed on an angle to make bathing the dogs easy. Wood flooring flows in from the rest of the home, grounding the space in warmth.
