For this project, the client requested a brighter kitchen with new cabinetry, countertops, backsplash tile, flooring and vent hood. Cream colored, 3 dimensional backsplash was chosen to bring in light and interest to the space. The backsplash extends to the ceiling with high cabinetry to create the illusion of a taller kitchen. The perimeter countertops are mustang quartzite with the island in volcano granite this offsets the light and dark color tones. A two toned hood with a brushed golden steel and chrome strapping offers a unique flair to the room.

The details of the island include corbels with a square design and additional drawers were added for extra storage. Polished nickel hardware was used throughout to give the kitchen a modern touch. A white farmhouse sink, spice and utensil pull outs were added. A few things were eliminated to create more storage and functionality. Glass cabinets were removed and reworked. Removing a china display built-in gave way to more storage. A new cornice over the window to match the dining area added soft texture to the room that the client desired. With the kitchen opened up to the dining room, it gives the same architectural elements to the entire space for a clean and modern look throughout.
