Our Santa Barbara Emerald Haven Project was originally designed in a 1990s modern style and now beautifully showcases a classic and timeless design by drawing inspiration from the original Santa Barbara styled door.
One of the standout features of this transformation is the introduction of dark hardwood floors. These floors not only exude sophistication but also feature special details such as a herringbone pattern and brass inlay in the entryway, adding a touch of luxury from the moment you step inside. Complementing the floors is a stunning new staircase railing that gracefully returns to the wall, creating a striking first impression.
The formal living room, now connected to a charming space we’ve affectionately nicknamed the Emerald Lounge, serves as an ideal spot for our clients to entertain guests. This lounge embodies luxury and comfort, making it a beloved area for social gatherings. Enhancing the hosting environment further, we created a pass-through to the kitchen, ensuring a seamless flow between these spaces.
In the kitchen, we made significant improvements to both form and function. By squaring out the island, which originally had awkward angles, we maximized the available space. The island features a beautiful green stone countertop, paired with brass pendants and a stunning tile backsplash that adds character and charm. Incorporating top-of-the-line appliances, including a Wolf range, was essential, particularly as our client is professionally trained in culinary arts.
The family room received a thoughtful makeover, with the original awkwardly laid-out niches transformed by elegant arches, further enhancing the aesthetic appeal. The wood cabinetry boasts exquisite design details, while the fireplace now showcases a beautiful green accent tile and serves as a focal point of the room.
The result is a home that effortlessly blends the charm of Santa Barbara style with the sophistication of modern design, offering a timeless retreat for our clients to enjoy for years to come.
